HISTORIC PRESERVATION

The intention to historically preserve the building restores the existing facade and entrance as well as the main lobby vestibule and materials.  The architectural details will remain to revitalize this building back to its former glory of the Art Deco time period.

BUILDING INFORMATION

The original construction of the Art Deco building was completed in 1929, with subsequent construction completed in 1946 and 1968.  The building has held a variety of businesses such as workplaces, healthcare, and residences but has been abandoned for decades.  Noted as the tallest building in Arkansas fro 1930 to 1960, it was placed on the National Registry in 1978.
